I was just reading about Patricia's case again, and something struck me about the timing of her call to her aunt. It was right at 3 PM that day when she mentioned meeting MILLS to see a trailer. It makes me wonder, did anyone see her car being parked at the shopping center on Alabama 25 after that call? We're sure MILLS confessed later, but what happened in those crucial moments after her call—the gap between her last contact and when they found her car? People typically come and go from shopping centers all the time, so was anyone there that day who might remember seeing something or someone? Witness accounts can fade, but sometimes people recall small details if prompted by memories of the event. Perhaps more could be pieced together if someone who was in the area came forward. Just thinking out loud here... Anyone else have any insights or thoughts on this?
