Hey everyone, I came across this case and just wanted to hop in to see if anyone else had any thoughts on the CAP Cessna 180 disappearance? The fact that this plane managed to vanish with absolutely no trace is so puzzling! I find it curious that there've been several reports of strange weather conditions in the area around the time Robert Herman and the others went missing. Could turbulence or some erratic weather pattern have played a part in throwing them off course? I remember hearing that weather can be quite unpredictable in that region. Also, I wonder if enough was done after all these years to explore remote spots or potential crash sites that might have been missed initially. I’m holding onto hope that someday we’ll get some answers. Anyone have any insights or heard of similar cases in that area?

I’ve been following the case of the CAP Cessna 180 that went missing between Yakutat and Sitka, and I’m curious about the weather conditions at the time of the disappearance. Does anyone know if they were flying in adverse weather or if there were any storms reported in the area? It seems odd that both the plane and Robert Herman would vanish without a trace. Could poor weather have been a factor in their disappearance, making search efforts more challenging? Any insights or information from fellow aviation enthusiasts would be appreciated.
