I’ve been following the Rachel Karr case from 1981, and something that keeps gnawing at me is the logistics of the alleged dismemberment and disposal by Leonard D. Vignolo Sr. Given the desert terrain outside Las Vegas, does anyone else find it odd that no trace of her remains has ever been found? It’s not like there are endless places to hide so thoroughly without any clues surfacing all these years later. With the advancement in technology, I'm surprised there hasn’t been a renewed search effort using modern methods like ground-penetrating radar or updated forensic techniques in those areas. Maybe I'll just armchair-detective about it, but it feels like there could still be pieces of the puzzle left out there waiting to be discovered. Anyone else have thoughts on why there hasn't been more of a push for this? It’s frustrating knowing her family still doesn’t have full closure.
