I was just thinking about what Trooper McCoy's family must have gone through during the trial of those awful suspects. I've read that court proceedings involving violent crimes can be such a long and painful process for victims' families. I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been for his wife and siblings, having to sit there reliving that horrible day over and over again. It's so important to remember the human side of these tragedies and offer support to those left to pick up the pieces. Anyone know if they received any kind of support from victim advocacy groups or the community during and after the trial?
