Hey everyone,
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the case of Walter Junior "Noonie" Custer Jr. and Ripley Elwood Marston Sr., and I wanted to touch on something that's been on my mind: the sheer speed at which the legal proceedings happened. It’s pretty unusual for something as horrible as a double murder to be resolved so quickly, right? Eaton’s guilty plea really fast-forwarded everything, but I can’t help thinking about how that decision affected Noonie and Ripley’s families. On one hand, I imagine there was some relief in not enduring a lengthy trial, but still, coming to terms with their losses must be incredibly challenging.
Does anyone else feel like the rapid closure of the case might have left unanswered questions for the families or the broader community? How do folks typically deal with the need for closure when someone pleads guilty like this?
My thoughts are with all those who loved Noonie and Mr. Marston. No family should have to go through such a tragedy. ?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
