I've been diving deep into Margaret Ann Lawson Beard and her husband Steven's case, and something keeps nagging at me—the lack of public information or media coverage, even after all these years. Given how both Margaret and Steven passed on the same day, you’d think there would have been some follow-up or at least renewed interest over time, especially with their family left behind. Having served in the Navy, Steven might have had stories worth sharing, too. It makes me wonder if anyone from the local press ever revisited their story or interviewed the family for more context. Maybe small-town dynamics kept things quiet, or perhaps their children, Steven Jr., Ronald, and Misty, prefer privacy. But silence shouldn't mean forgetting. Does anyone have any insight or thoughts on why this case didn’t get more attention?
