I've been thinking a lot about the heroic actions of the students who subdued the shooter during the Appalachian School of Law tragedy. It's remarkable how they managed to act so quickly and with such bravery in a terrifying situation. They put their own lives at risk to prevent further loss, likely saving others from harm. In moments of crisis, it's often ordinary people who step up and make a difference, and they deserve recognition for their courage. This is yet another painful reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and how critical it is to have individuals willing to act in the face of danger. My thoughts continue to be with Angela Denice Dales' loved ones and everyone impacted by this senseless act of violence. It's clear that the legacy of those involved and those who are now gone will be felt for years to come.
