Hey everyone. I’ve been following the Caldwell Fields case for a while, and something that’s been on my mind is the location itself. For those unfamiliar, Caldwell Fields is in a pretty remote part of Jefferson National Forest. I've gone hiking out there a few times, and it's not a spot you just stumble upon—especially not after dark. Considering how isolated it is, it makes me wonder if Heidi and David’s killer was someone local who knew the area well. There aren't many reasons you'd pass by there unless you were familiar with the back roads. Plus, the timing seems too precise for someone just passing through. My heart goes out to the families. They deserve answers, and I can’t imagine how hard it must be to endure another year without them. Really hoping that with DNA technology progressing, something new will surface. Anyone else have thoughts on how the location plays into this?

I'm still incredibly moved by the stories of Heidi and David. It's haunting to think about the quiet setting of Caldwell Fields being the background to such a tragedy. I was reading about the efforts made in recent years, especially with the advancements in forensic technology. It gives me a small measure of hope that the DNA evidence they have might finally lead to some answers. It's just so frustrating that despite having this critical evidence, there's still no closure for the families. Does anyone know if there have been any recent updates about the DNA testing? My thoughts are with the families—waiting for justice this long must be unimaginably difficult.

I've been following the Caldwell Fields case for quite some time, and something that keeps haunting me is how random the location seems. Caldwell Fields is relatively remote and serene—a place you'd go to escape, not expect violence. Why there? I can't help but think about anyone else who might have been in the area that night. Did someone see something they didn't realize was important? Or maybe the killer was a local who knew the area well enough to strike there and vanish without being noticed? It breaks my heart for Heidi and David's families, constantly living with unanswered questions. I hope someone who might have seen something seemingly insignificant back then comes forward. Even the smallest detail could be the key to cracking this case wide open.
