Hey everyone, I just came across the tragic story of Andrew Cornelius Willie Jr., sometimes called Lil Andrew or Skino, who was unfortunately killed back in March 2011. It's really stuck with me, especially thinking about the community he was a part of. I noticed he was very active with the Jr. Band and the Sons of Joy at the United House of Prayer for All People. I'm curious if anyone knows more about how he impacted his community or if people from the church have shared how they're coping and remembering him. It's got to be so hard for them, having lost someone who was actively engaged and probably brought a lot of joy and music into their lives. Community is so important in times like these, and it feels like Andrew’s presence might still be felt there even though he's gone. My heart goes out to his family, especially his kids and his mom, Isolean. If anyone has heard more about how the community is honoring him or keeping his memory alive, please share. It's vital that we share these stories and keep the conversation going, hoping it also helps bring some justice or closure.
