Has anyone considered the possibility of foul play in the disappearance of the vessel between Uganik Bay and Alitak Bay? I know there's been a lot of speculation about rough weather being a factor, but it's puzzling that absolutely no trace of the boat or crew was ever found. It seems odd, given the amount of search effort that went into trying to locate them. I also read somewhere that there were some tensions among local fishing operations back then, which makes me wonder if something more than just an accident could've happened. It's frustrating how these kinds of cases can turn cold with so few answers. Does anyone have insights on similar cases or know if local fishing rivals could have been involved? Would love to hear more thoughts on this angle.

Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day the boat went missing? I've been reading up on fishing vessel accidents, and harsh weather seems to play a huge role in many of these cases. February in Alaska is notorious for storms, right? I'm wondering if there's any detailed report that might shed light on what kind of weather the crew was facing that day. Could be crucial in understanding what might have happened. Any locals or historians that could chime in on typical weather patterns for that area and time of year?
