I've been thinking a lot about the impact Tammy's loss must have had on Lauren, her daughter. To lose both parents is something no one should ever have to endure, especially at a young age. I've heard Lauren was really close to her mom, and it's just so tragic that she was left with so many unanswered questions. It makes you wonder how long this investigation will take and if any new leads will come to light. The community in Virginia Beach seemed to rally around her, but it's upsetting to think she left her life in Amherst only to have such a fate meet her in Virginia Beach. It's hard not to hope that more attention to cold cases might bring some answers sooner rather than later. My heart really goes out to Lauren and the entire family dealing with this huge absence in their lives.
