I recently came across the case of Jeramiah Elijah Kimble, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact this tragedy had on those around him. Something that really stood out to me was the community’s response. The "Stop the Violence" vigil held in his honor was such a powerful statement. It’s truly moving to see a community come together in the face of something so terrible. Imagine the strength it must have taken for his friends and family to stand there, surrounded by people, holding candles and calling for change. It’s a reminder of how deeply this loss was felt by everyone in Hampton. Jeramiah was so young and had his entire life ahead of him. How can a community heal from such a devastating event? If anyone from Hampton is here, I’d love to hear how things have been since then. Have there been more initiatives to prevent violence? Hoping for peace and healing for all affected.
