Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into Bertrand Detonnac’s disappearance from back in ‘85, and I came across something that really piqued my interest. Did anyone else notice that his case is one of over 1,300 unsolved missing person cases in NYC since 1980? That's a staggering number, and it got me wondering about the bigger picture.
What’s the reason for so many cases remaining unsolved? Is it the sheer volume of people in the city, or maybe the transient nature of NYC? I can’t help but think there might be underlying systemic issues at play, too. It would be great to hear from anyone familiar with past investigations in NYC or with thoughts on why these cold cases aren’t getting the necessary breakthroughs. Even if we focus on Bertrand, understanding New York’s broader context might offer some clues. Thoughts?
