Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the role of the community in cases like Michael Bailey's. It's just so tragic to think about how a young man's life was cut short over something so senseless. What really strikes me is the overwhelming support that came from the Sandston community afterward. People rallied around Michael's family, offering condolences and pushing for justice. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power and kindness within our communities, even in the face of such darkness. Knowing that the community is there for Michael's family must provide some comfort, but I can’t help but wish that such support could prevent tragedies like this from happening in the first place. Maybe increased community engagement and awareness could reduce future incidents. What have you all seen in terms of community-led initiatives for safety? Do you think they make a difference?
