I keep thinking about Deondrea Brown’s role in all of this. It’s a shame that someone crucial to the case had to deal with communication challenges that seemed to create more questions than answers. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for him to convey his account while dealing with such an unfortunate language barrier. It seems important that the justice system finds a better way to handle testimonies from those who communicate differently to avoid confusion and inaccuracies. Everyone deserves to have their voice heard clearly, especially in situations as serious as this one. My heart goes out to Jacques Fauntleroy’s loved ones, who are still searching for closure.
