I've been thinking a lot about the community impact following the tragic death of Keenan Kelly. It's so troubling to see such a young life ended over what seems to have been a planned confrontation. Hearing about the violence in Hampton and knowing a 24-year-old woman was also affected, despite not being the intended target, highlights just how unpredictable and far-reaching these incidents can be. I hope that this entire situation isn't just a catalyst for justice for Keenan but also sparks some deeper community reflection and needed change. It’s important to support peace-building initiatives and community programs that aim to reach out to our youth. Losing someone in our community to gun violence is devastating—let's work together towards making sure incidents like this become a rarity. Hoping for peace and healing for all those who knew and cared for Keenan, as well as for everyone in Hampton affected by this tragedy.
