Has anyone else been following the case of Joseph Burnell Hicks Jr.? It's been eight long years, and still no closure for his family. I can't begin to imagine the pain his loved ones must be enduring, not knowing who is responsible for such a senseless act. It really strikes me how fleeting life can be, especially at such a young age of 19.
I was thinking about how important community involvement is in cases like this. Someone out there knows something, and keeping silent only prolongs the agony for Joseph’s family. Henrico Police have done so much to encourage people to come forward, even offering anonymity, but it's frustrating that nothing substantial seems to have emerged.
Maybe there's something we can do to help bring more attention to his case? Social media can really amplify causes these days. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends every day, but I'm hopeful they will eventually get the answers they deserve. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can spread the word, please share.
Hi everyone,
I recently stumbled upon the case of Joseph Burnell Hicks Jr., and something that caught my attention is the sheer lack of eyewitness accounts. It's unsettling how someone could be shot at such a busy intersection and yet, five years later, there seems to be no substantial leads shared with the public.
This intersection isn't exactly secluded, and I find it hard to believe that nobody saw or heard anything suspicious on that day. It makes me think about whether people did see something but were perhaps too afraid to come forward. Understandably, safety concerns can silence witnesses, but it’s also heartbreaking for Joseph's family who are still seeking answers.
If anyone reading this knows someone who was in the area or might have heard anything—no matter how insignificant it might seem—consider sharing it with the authorities. Every little detail can help, and staying silent only prolongs the family's pain.

I came across Joseph Burnell Hicks Jr.'s case, and it just hit me how much his family must be going through. Being just 19, it’s devastating to think about all the life experiences he was robbed of. I read that the police found him at the intersection of Delmont and Crawford Streets, and it makes you wonder about the details of what happened that day. Was he walking home, meeting someone, or just in the wrong place at the wrong time?
It's tough knowing that there's been no closure even after all these years. No arrests, no suspects publicly identified—it just weighs heavy on the heart. I hope anyone with any bit of information out there comes forward. It's encouraging to see the Henrico County Police Division still actively dedicated to solving this case. Their persistence gives hope that justice might still be served someday.
Sending strength to Joseph's friends and family. No one should have to live without answers. If anyone has any insight or tips, even if it seems small, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Every detail could make a difference.
