Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Seaman Keith Lendore and wanted to discuss something that’s been on my mind about the surrounding circumstances. I noticed that the shooting took place near Old Dominion University, and it involved students who were also injured. This makes me wonder about the safety measures that were in place at the time and what might have changed since then. It's truly devastating to think about the impact this tragedy had on not just Keith's family, who lost someone so young and dedicated, but also the students who experienced a terrifying situation so close to campus. I can only imagine the shock waves it sent through both communities and the heightened need for safety in places students should feel secure. Has anyone heard if ODU made any policy changes following the incident? It feels important that universities learn from such tragic events to protect their students better.
