I've been following the case of the woman from Hawaii who disappeared in LA before heading into Mexico, and something that's been on my mind is the messages she sent to her family. Has anyone discussed the content of these messages in detail? It feels significant that they were described as "alarming," but were they ever made public? I can't help but wonder what exactly she conveyed that led to this description. Her choice to disconnect from "modern connectivity" seems deliberate, yet cryptic—were there clues in those messages about her state of mind or her plans once she crossed the border? If anyone has insights or theories, I'd love to hear them. Stay safe, folks.

Has anyone else been digging into old missing person cases hoping for new info? I came across the one from Vacaville in '79 and something keeps bugging me about that broken car window. It seems too convenient to just chalk it up to a random act of vandalism, especially given the circumstances of her disappearance. With the case being reopened, I'm curious to see if the investigators find anything new from the scene that was missed back then. It's cases like these that really highlight the need for the public to come forward with even the smallest recollections from those times. Thoughts? Anyone from the area or have family who lived there back then?
