I came across an older case that really stuck with me, and I wanted to share my thoughts and see if anyone has any new information. I’m talking about the tragic loss of young Taliek K. Brown in Richmond back in 2017. I can't stop thinking about how incredibly random and unfair the circumstances were. Both Taliek and Mikkaisha Smoot were so young and had their whole futures ahead of them. What's frustrating is the apparent lack of progress in bringing those responsible to justice. I know the Richmond PD has been reaching out to the community, but it's been years, and still, no arrests? It seems like a case that cries out for some kind of breakthrough. Maybe it's time for the community to rally again, reignite the conversations, and hopefully encourage some new leads to come forward. Does anyone know if there’s been any renewed efforts or events to keep this case in the public eye? Maybe a vigil or fundraiser for a reward fund? It just seems like the least that could be done to honor their memory and support their families, who undoubtedly continue to struggle with their loss. Let's keep this discussion going and hope for justice.
