I've been digging through old newspaper articles and maritime records about the disappearance of the Danube and its crew, and one detail that stands out is the lack of weather advisories that day. It seems there was no official warning about the storm's sudden onset, which is really concerning. I mean, if there was no heads-up, how could they have prepared for such a dangerous situation?
It's unsettling to think about how unpredictable the weather can be out there, particularly in that region where conditions can shift so quickly. It also makes me wonder if there have been any changes in how weather patterns are monitored and communicated to fishermen and boat crews since this tragedy. Does anyone know if there were any new protocols introduced after 1986 because of cases like this?
