I recently revisited the case of Robert Thomas Minter Jr., and something really struck me about how his community responded to his tragic passing. It’s clear that Robert was deeply loved and respected when you look at how many folks came together at the Queen Street Worship Center for his memorial. It’s a powerful reminder of how essential these gatherings can be for a grieving community trying to cope with such a brutal loss. It’s shocking to me that there are still no leads or suspects, even after all this time. How does a case just go cold like that? I just keep thinking about his family and friends and how difficult it must be to move on without answers. Robert and the other victim are more than just statistics, and his family deserves justice and peace. If only there was some new piece of evidence or a witness that could come forward to finally give Robert’s loved ones the closure they desperately need. If anyone has thoughts or updates, please share. Staying vocal about this might be all we can do right now.

I recently came across Robert Minter Jr.'s case, and it truly hits home when we think about the impact on his family and the community at large. One aspect that seems particularly troubling is the lack of suspect information after all these years. It must be incredibly frustrating for Minter's loved ones to feel like they're in the dark about any possible suspects or leads. Newport News experienced a tough year in 2017, with a high number of homicides, but that shouldn't mean Robert's case gets lost in the shuffle. His family held a memorial at the Queen Street Worship Center, and I can't imagine the pain of having to say goodbye without knowing why this happened. I feel for his family and the community who are still hopeful for some answers. Maybe someone out there knows something that can break this case open? Let's keep this conversation going and hope someday justice is served for Robert and his family.
