I've been following Eric Pettyway's case and wanted to talk about his background as a musician and how that seemed to connect him to so many people. It's clear that he touched many lives, not just through his family and fitness work, but also through his music. I wonder if his artistic side provided some comfort to his family and friends during such an unfathomably difficult time. It’s truly tragic that someone so talented and vibrant, who brought joy and resilience through music, fell victim to the violence that has plagued Oakland for far too long. How does the community heal from losses like this one? I hope that even in these dark times, they can remember the light Eric brought into their lives. Thoughts are with his family, especially his sons and mother. ? I hope they find strength and support from the community as they navigate this loss.
