I’ve been following the Ricky Myers case, and something that stands out to me is the quick response from the off-duty deputy who was first on the scene. It must have been incredibly tough for them to handle such a critical situation outside of their normal duties. Having someone respond so swiftly could have made all the difference in Myers initially being stabilized, despite the tragic outcome. It's a reminder of how unpredictable these moments can be and how crucial it is for community members and first responders to act decisively in emergencies. My heart goes out to Ricky’s family, especially his son. Hopefully, the continued investigation will provide the answers they deserve and also offer them some comfort during this difficult time. Anyone else have thoughts on the role of first responders in situations like this?
