Has anyone else been following the case and found it particularly unsettling how the plea deals worked out for Banta and Harris? It’s painfully clear that there's still a lot of questions left unanswered about what happened that tragic night. I can't help but feel such sympathy for Patrick's family and friends, with the legal system not fully capturing the gravity of the loss they’ve suffered. I can only imagine the frustration and heartache they must feel seeing the charges reduced. His vibrant spirit deserved so much more than becoming a victim of such a senseless act. It's moments like these that you realize how fragile justice can be. Anyone else have thoughts on how plea deals like this impact the families left in the wake of such loss?
