I've been following Theresa Bunn's case for a while now, and every time I revisit the details, it just baffles me that there's still no resolution. I came across an interview with her father, Anthony McCray, and his words stayed with me. The way he described the loss of Theresa and his grandson, Michael Pierre Terry Bunn, really puts into perspective the void left in their family. It's haunting to think that Theresa and her baby were stripped of a chance at life so cruelly.
It strikes me how similar her case is to Hazel Lewis's murder, which happened just days apart. The city was on edge, yet years later, we still have more questions than answers. I know there was talk about a possible serial offender back then, but did the leads just dry up? It hurts to think that both families might never get the peace they deserve. If anyone in the community or those who knew something stayed silent due to fear, I can only hope they find the courage to come forward now. Every piece of information counts, and maybe it could finally lead to some form of justice. My thoughts are with the Bunn family and everyone else affected by the tragedy of unsolved crimes in Chicago.
