It's just so hard to fathom how something like this could happen. I keep thinking about how the seemingly ordinary events of that night took such a dark turn. Reading about the murder-suicide conclusion is haunting. I can't help but reflect on what her family and friends must be going through, grappling with immense confusion and immense loss. It's so chilling to think about how quickly everything spiraled out of control. The detail that sticks with me is the revolver not being Smith's service weapon. It just leaves me with even more questions. Did anyone ever uncover any more details about the weapon or why Smith had it that night? Sending thoughts of strength to Emeri's family and hoping they eventually find some peace in this tragedy’s aftermath.
