Emeri A. Connery, a 26-year-old from Big Stone Gap, Virginia, tragically died on March 10, 2019. The circumstances surrounding her death were both shocking and sorrowful. According to reports, Connery and her cousin, Bailey Smith, attended a wedding in Big Stone Gap on March 9, 2019. After the wedding, they traveled to Johnson City, where they visited two bars and consumed alcohol.
