Hi everyone, I've been digging into the case of Sotero Arce, and one thing that's sticking with me is how the socio-economic issues in Chicago at the time might have played into his tragic death. It’s a painful reality that neighborhoods with limited resources often deal with heightened violence, and it's heartbreaking to think about how access—or lack thereof—to opportunities could impact someone's safety. I can't help but wonder if improving community programs or support systems might have made a difference not just for Sotero but for others facing similar situations. Anyone have insights or know of efforts that have been made in those areas since then? Let’s hope we can learn from the past to help make neighborhoods safer for everyone. Sending love and strength to the Arce family and all those affected by violence.
