I’ve been thinking a lot about how this horrible incident has affected Rasaun's siblings, who were there that day. I can’t even imagine the trauma they must be carrying with them, seeing their brother try to protect their mom, only to be taken from them in such a brutal way. How do you even begin to heal from that? It’s encouraging to know that their father was there and managed to keep them safe from further harm. I hope those kids have a strong support system in place as they navigate life after this. It's a vivid reminder of how deeply domestic violence can impact every family member, not just the immediate victims. Sending them all love and strength as they work through the aftermath of such an unimaginable event. Does anyone know if the community has rallied around them or set up any support for the kids?

Has anyone else been following the impact on Rasaun Nayje Davidson’s sisters? I can't imagine how traumatic it must have been for them to witness such a violent event and then deal with the aftermath, all at such a young age. It's devastating to think about how they not only lost their brother but also had to see their mother being injured so severely. I really hope they’ve been able to access some form of counseling or support to help them cope with such a heavy burden. If anyone has information on how they’re doing now or if there have been community efforts to support them, please share. My thoughts are with them and the entire family during this difficult time.

I came across this case today and can’t stop thinking about the strength it must have taken Rasaun to step in during that terrifying moment. It’s devastating to see someone so young lose their life, especially when they were trying to protect their mom. My heart goes out to his family, especially his siblings who witnessed such a traumatic event. It’s such a cruel reminder of how deeply domestic violence can scar not just the victims, but those around them too. I'm really struggling to wrap my head around how Boyd could have escalated to such violence. I know there are many complex layers to domestic disputes, but resorting to murder? It seems unfathomable to me. Has anyone else read the outcome of the trial? With Boyd pleading guilty, it’s clear, but I wonder if the family feels any sense of justice or closure, or if this is just an ongoing nightmare for them. ?
