I recently listened to an interview with Isaiah Baker's mom, Reginia, and I can't stop thinking about her plea for help in finding her son's killer. It's so difficult for a family to carry on without closure or justice. Even after so many years, her determination is unwavering, and you can feel the pain in her voice as she talks about Isaiah's life being cut short. It really made me wonder about the difficulties the Richmond Police face in getting witnesses to come forward, especially in a busy place like Gilpin Court. Do any locals or people familiar with the neighborhood know if there have been any community meetings or efforts to encourage people to share information about that day? It seems like such a densely populated area must have had someone who saw or heard something, and maybe there’s a way we can help spread the word to find them. I just hope whoever has any knowledge courageously decides to come forward. The Baker family deserves answers, and Isaiah deserves justice.
