I can't help but feel for the residents of Prince William Court who have been forced to live in fear since the tragedy on January 11, 2020. I read Brenda's account of the gunshots near her son's bedroom, and it really hits home how this isn't just about numbers and statistics—it's about real families who have to deal with the aftermath of such violence every day. The fact that someone was arrested on related charges, yet nobody is in custody for Sequanae Roper’s murder, must make it even harder for the community to find peace. Gun violence affects everyone, and I hope the police can bring closure for Roper's family and all those who live in that neighborhood. It's a stark reminder that we all need to push for solutions to this persistent problem.
