It's so tragic to hear about Frank Thomas Smith, Jr.'s passing, especially after what was supposed to be a unifying and peaceful day in the community. It really makes you think about the stark contrasts our lives are often filled with—celebrating peace one moment and then faced with violence the next. I find it incredibly poignant that Frank's life was taken just hours after the event organized by One Community, One Voice. It’s almost like the universe was sending a message, highlighting how important these community efforts are but also reminding us just how much work still needs to be done. It's comforting to know that organizations and local leaders are rallying people to share any information they might have. The smallest detail could make a huge difference. My thoughts are with Frank's family and friends and with all those in Lynchburg who are pushing for change and healing in their community.
