I came across Angel Ramirez's case recently, and it really struck a chord with me. I can't stop thinking about how his family must be feeling, even all these years later. The tragedy of losing someone so young to such senseless violence is unimaginable. I read up a bit, and it's clear that Angel's murder wasn't just an isolated incident but part of a larger problem that was sweeping through Chicago at the time. What's perhaps even more unsettling is how many families were affected in similar ways during that period. It makes you wonder why more wasn't done sooner to address these systemic issues. I hope discussions like this can keep awareness alive and maybe even push for more change. We owe it to Angel and the countless others who lost their lives in similar ways. My heart goes out to his family—they deserved so much more than to be part of these grim statistics.
