I've been following the Victor Garcia-Mayorga case and something has been nagging at me. I can't shake the thought about the fire itself. It's such a brutal way to cover up a crime. Why set the house on fire after the shootings? Was it an attempt to destroy evidence, or maybe to send some kind of message? Fires have this traumatic effect and seem to add another layer of horror to an already terrible situation. I can only imagine what Victor and Onesimo's families are going through, having to deal not just with their loss, but the gruesome way it happened. I hope this detail doesn't obscure finding all the evidence needed for justice. Does anyone else have thoughts on why the arson aspect might have been part of this crime? Would love to hear other perspectives.
