I was thinking about Dylan Dakota Whetzel today and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends. I can't even imagine what they're going through, dealing with such a terrible loss under these circumstances. I've been following this case closely, and what really strikes me is the text message from Meeks calling their McDonald's stop his "last meal." It's so chilling and just shows how premeditated this was. It makes me wonder about the mindset of someone to orchestrate something like this. It's disturbing how someone can flip a switch and decide to commit such a heinous act, especially over something like drug disputes. Dylan was trying to look out for his friend, which makes this all the more tragic. It’s essential for communities to address drug-related issues proactively and provide resources to intervene before conflicts get to this point. I hope there will be justice for Dylan and his family. They deserve peace and closure.

Has anyone else been wondering about the role the grandparents played in this case? It seems like Thomas's grandfather witnessing something suspicious might have been a turning point in the investigation. It's such a tragic situation, and my heart goes out to Dylan's family and friends. I can't imagine the horror they must have felt knowing he was missing and then to find out what happened. And what about the grandparents? They must be grappling with the realization that their own grandson was involved. I wonder how the community is supporting them and Dylan's loved ones?
