I've been following Lakeith Ruffin Jr.'s case, and I just can't stop thinking about the person who stayed with him during his final moments. It's incredibly touching that a complete stranger would make that call and offer comfort until help arrived. It feels like it's just one small light of humanity in an otherwise devastating situation. I can't imagine how hard that moment must have been, both for the good Samaritan and for Lakeith's loved ones after hearing about it. It's moments like these that remind me how important it is to look out for one another, even when we don't know the person we're helping. I hope whoever that passerby was finds some peace in knowing they did everything they could to help. Sending love and strength to Lakeith's family during this tough journey.
