I’ve been following Carrie Buffkin’s case closely and something about the security camera footage caught my attention. Has anyone else seen the timestamps on the neighbor's footage? It's surprising how precise the timing seems to be when connecting Kevin Sizemore to the scene. It paints a chilling picture of how calculated this was. I can’t imagine the pain her family is going through knowing how swiftly it all happened. It’s a small comfort to know the community came together so strongly to support them, but such a vibrant life taken so early is just beyond tragic. Those minutes captured on camera serve as a haunting reminder of what her community lost that day.
I've been thinking a lot about the role technology played in the investigation of Carrie's case. It's just incredible how much evidence they were able to gather through cell phone data and security cameras. This kind of tech can sometimes be a double-edged sword, but in instances like this, it seems to have been crucial in bringing some semblance of justice for Carrie. I'm grateful for the investigators who diligently pieced everything together. I can't even begin to imagine the overwhelming grief and pain her family must be experiencing, but I hope knowing these tools were used to seek the truth brings them a tiny bit of comfort in such a difficult time.
