Steven Soileau was 23 when he was last seen on May 29, 1990, in Mamou, Louisiana, while at a Memorial Day celebration with his family. He is described as Black, 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 135 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a goatee and mustache, and distinctive marks including a previously fractured left jaw, a scar on his right wrist, a bull tattoo on his right shoulder and initials tattooed on his left hand.

When he disappeared he wore a t-shirt (color unknown), blue jeans with a 32-inch waist, size 9 white tennis shoes, and a yellow gold chain with a cross. The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation; the case was reported on June 27, 1990, and is listed in NamUs under MP74384. There is limited public information about his movements after he was last seen.
