Hey everyone, I've been following the Jesse Hogg case and one thing I can't stop thinking about is how the robbery was planned to target Jesse specifically for his gun. It makes me wonder about the broader issue of why young people are finding themselves in situations where they feel the need to carry firearms. What kind of pressures or influences are affecting these teens? Portsmouth, like many communities, is dealing with the fallout of gun violence, and this case really puts a spotlight on how even a single tragedy can ripple through families and communities. Everyone speaks so highly of Jesse, especially his zest for life and his talent on the baseball field. It's incredibly painful to see his potential cut short, and I can’t even imagine what his family must be going through. I hope the ongoing trials bring justice, not just legally, but also in terms of understanding and addressing the root causes of why young people get involved in these dangerous situations. Thoughts are with all of Jesse's loved ones during this difficult time. Feel free to share any thoughts or insights on this.
