I recently came across some court documents related to the Heritage Building Massacre and found a small but significant detail that I hadn't heard much about: Edwin Grace had apparently been acting erratically at work in the weeks leading up to the tragedy. Some of his coworkers had expressed concerns, noting his increasingly aggressive demeanor. It's just devastating to think that there might have been warning signs that something was off. While it's impossible to predict exactly what someone might do, it makes you wonder if more awareness and communication in the workplace could have led to intervention before things escalated to the unimaginable. I'm thinking of Stephen B. Robinson and all the others whose lives were forever altered. Their families must have so many questions about what could have been done differently. I hope we can learn from this to enhance workplace safety and ensure that everyone's concerns are taken seriously.
