I was reading through old cases, and Patrolman Peter Egnor’s story deeply moved me. It’s difficult to fathom the fear and chaos he must have felt during that high-speed chase. The fact that he was only 21 with just 18 months on the force is a sobering reminder of the risks that come with the badge, regardless of experience. What resonated even more with me was the community's effort to honor him by renaming the Albany Avenue bridge. It’s vital to keep the memory of such brave souls alive and remember the sacrifices they made. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and colleagues who've had to navigate life without him. Their resilience and the community's support are a true testament to his impact.
