I was just reading up on the Montclair Post Office shooting and stumbled across something that struck me about George P. Lomaga’s situation. It’s absolutely devastating to think about how a regular visit to the post office turned into such a nightmare. Can you imagine the fear and confusion they must have felt when Christopher Green ordered them to lie down? It's beyond comprehension.
George, merely a customer that day, probably had no idea it would be his last visit to a place we all consider so mundane. I’ve read some accounts where his friends talked about him being a kind and gentle person. I can't help but feel deep sympathy for his family and loved ones, knowing they lost someone precious in such a senseless act of violence. It makes you realize how fragile life is, and how an ordinary day can turn tragic in an instant.
Also, it's chilling to think how Green worked with these people before. Did nothing hint at his capability for such horror? It’s terrifying to think that even familiar faces can harbor such darkness. My heart goes out to everyone affected. This tragedy is a harsh reminder of the unexpected twists life can throw at us and the importance of cherishing each moment. Thoughts?
