Has anyone else looked into the timeline of Collins's movements during his spree? I'm trying to understand how he managed to evade capture for several days. It seems like his ability to move between jurisdictions played a significant role. I think it's important to consider how these gaps could have been tightened to possibly prevent some of the tragic outcomes, including the death of Shirley Gates. It's so unsettling that someone with such a violent record was paroled and able to cross state lines to continue his spree. Perhaps more coordinated efforts between different jurisdictions could have stopped him sooner. I'm not blaming law enforcement entirely, as they were dealing with a dangerous and unpredictable individual, but it might be worth discussing how tracking methods and communication could be improved to handle cases like these in the future. Thoughts and insights, anyone?
