I've been thinking a lot about the impact William Reese's murder must have had on the small, tight-knit community of Pennsville. It's unfathomable to consider the shockwave something like this sends through friends, family, and neighbors. A quiet caretaker just doing his job, and suddenly his life is cut short in such a violent and senseless act. My heart goes out to those he left behind who had to navigate the aftermath of this tragedy in such a public manner, given the media attention on Cunanan's rampage. Reese's story often gets overshadowed by the more high-profile nature of the other victims, but his life and loss mattered immensely. Has anyone here ever visited Finns Point National Cemetery? I wonder how the community has commemorated Reese’s memory over the years.
