Does anyone else have chills thinking about how the suspect managed to escape from law enforcement just two weeks before this tragedy? It's so unsettling to realize he was actually in custody under a fake name and then slipped through the cracks. I can't imagine how frustrating and painful this realization must be for Sergeant King's family and colleagues. It just goes to show how unpredictable and dangerous the job can be, even during what should have been a routine meal break. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected. Understanding how the suspect exploited the system could be crucial in preventing something like this from happening again. Has there been any discussion or changes in police procedure to address this issue since it happened?
