I keep thinking about the church where the car chase ended on that terrible night in Fair Lawn. It's surreal to imagine such violence erupting in a place meant for peace and refuge. The fact that Officer Collura's last moments were spent on that lawn underlines the randomness and unpredictability of life. For the community and congregation who arrived that next day, finding their place of worship surrounded by police tape must have been a chilling reminder of the fragility of our safety. I can only hope that, through time, that church becomes not just a site of a tragedy but also a place where healing and unity continue to grow, much like the strength we've seen from Mary Ann's loved ones and the wider community in these years since.
