I was reading up on the Quadeer Battie case and couldn't stop thinking about the impact it must have had on his sisters, Shakirah, Jamilah, and Aliyah. Losing a brother in such a sudden and violent way must have been unbelievably hard for them. I hope they had access to support from loved ones and counselors during such a challenging time. It's always tough when siblings are affected by these tragedies, and it reminds me how important it is for communities to rally around families going through such painful experiences. Just wanted to send thoughts out to them and all who knew Quadeer. It's a harsh reminder of the ripple effects of violence on a personal level.
