Pernell Lloyd Tewangiotewa, a 21-year-old Native American man, was last seen on May 29, 1998, in Farmington, New Mexico. On the night of his disappearance, he was at Gator's Bar & Grill with his sister and friends. He left the bar driving his sister's 1988 Pontiac Subaru station wagon, but he never arrived home in Bloomfield, where he and his sister lived. Witnesses last saw him leaving Gator’s parking lot at 1:30 a.m., heading east on Main Street.
Three weeks later, on June 18, his vehicle was discovered in Choke Cherry Canyon, about five miles from Farmington. The car had been completely burned, and the fire was later determined to be arson. Pernell was not found at the scene, and he has never been heard from again. Authorities believe he may have attended a party in Flora Vista before his disappearance, and they suspect foul play, treating the case as a potential homicide.
At the time, Pernell was a student at a local cosmetology school. Despite extensive investigations, including links explored with possible serial activity in the area, no arrests have been made. His case remains unsolved.Last Seen: May 29, 1998
