Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into Jaquice Lucas's case, and one aspect that really caught my attention is the emotional devastation his family must have gone through. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his loved ones felt losing someone in such a senseless act of violence. What’s even more upsetting is how families in these situations often feel like their loved ones are just another statistic in the city's crime rate. I was reading up on how sometimes these families join together, becoming each other’s support systems and advocates for change. Has anyone else read about groups or organizations that provide platforms for families of victims to share their stories or push for justice? I think it’s incredibly powerful to see communities unite this way, even amidst such tragedy. My thoughts are with Jaquice's family, as well as the countless others who’ve suffered similar losses in Chicago. It’s heartbreaking to think of all the potential futures that have been stolen by violence.
